Some parents believe that reading books for entertainment is a waste for children and they think that their children should read only serious educational books. What is your opinion?
In today’s challenging epoch, all guardians are conscious about the academic career of their children. Some parents think that it is not worthy to spend time on extracurricular activities like reading non-academic books, playing games, watching Tv so on and children should be fully devoted to their education study matter. I think that, although it is vital to read serious academic books it is also required to spend some leisure time reading entertainment books. To begin with, the importance of educational books, excellent academic knowledge, and good academic profile is highly dependent on the time is given to read subject related books. As we know, a population is increasing at an alarming rate and there is a lack of job opportunities, it has become mandatory to qualify the minimum passing criteria to be eligible for any job entrance examination. Further, to pass all the stages to get a job, conceptual knowledge of the subject is highly required. On contrary, after spending a lot of time on serious studies, it is also equally important to spend some free time on other activities like reading amusing books. If students study for a long time, they get bored and cannot concentrate well on their education. Consequently, despite of getting good scores there is a possibility of getting lower marks. further, to nourish the overall personality of a person, knowledge of what’s happening around and information about the history is also needed. To put in a nutshell, I pen down saying that children should be sincere for their academic but along with this, they should read entertainment books which helps them to get some motivational stories, knowledge of the world and history which provides them versatile attitude.
