Some people believe the aim of university education is to help graduates get better jobs. Others believe there are much wider benefits of university education for both individuals and society. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
University education, these days, has been indispensable for practical as well as theoretical knowledge in many work fields. Where some individuals are of the opinion that getting a higher education is merely from a job perspective, others think that it is more beneficial for society as well as individuals.
It is not completely wrong that to enrol in a university to secure a career. The majority of people want proper financial stability in further years. To acquire territorial education is the mean for people to get marketable skills and experience for their work. In addition, further education is more expensive, so they could not consider it. For this reason, it would not provide them, and necessity would not be fulfilled.
On the other hand, there are more benefits for the social community and individuals. Firstly, staying away from home is more helpful to students to discover new cultures and languages. Furthermore, it assists students to improve their social skills and manner as human beings. For instance, it is reported that those students who study in another town are more social. Secondly, educated people are more grateful to society as any country’s economy are increased by those people. In this cutthroat world, every nation needs graduate order to prosper.
Therefore, I believe that although the purpose of getting a university education for the best job, there are further benefits. If we continue to encourage and support higher education, it will lead to prosper future for society.
