Some People Feel that Certain Workers Like Nurses, Doctors and Teachers Are Undervalued (4) (1)

Some people feel that certain workers like nurses, doctors and teachers are undervalued and should be paid more, especially when other people like film actors or company bosses are paid huge sums of money that are out of proportion to the importance of the work that they do. -How far do you agree? -What criteria should be used to decide how much people are paid? You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.

Experts throughout both the developing and developed countries have debated and experienced that few occupations like nurses, doctors and teachers who contribute to the betterment of the society are undervalued and should be paid more as compared to film actors and company directors whose work and importance is more like fantasy than actual reality. I personally agree with this statement, and my essay will discuss both sides and also demonstrate points using relevant examples to prove an argument.

To start with, employments in medical, education and military force are the most reputed, and people respect the workers of these fields. However, salaries paid to these people are understated. Even if their contributions have set few benchmarks, they are still not taken into consideration for rewards. For instance, Doctors have acted as a child of God and saved millions of lives from Coronavirus, putting their own life at risk. Therefore, the above-mentioned professions definitely deserve to be well paid.

On the other side, professions like actors, executives and bosses of the large organization are paid much higher than the desired margin. It has been said that ‘Fame and popularity attract money; thus, the maximum amount of attention they get will lead them to be richer. These are self-made people with their talent, skills and knowledge. However, the essentiality of their work does not contribute much to helping the world. These kinds of occupational people are business persons. For example, if an actor retires from his job early or if he dies an unconditional death, then there will not be much impact on the country or world’s upbringing. But if a Soldier, doctor or even a teacher is retiring or fails to perform his job efficiently, then it will be a huge loss to the country and the whole world.

To conclude, all professions are important. However, people should get paid according to how important and responsible their work is for the nation. Because if a nation is safe and healthy, then it will automatically become wealthy.
