The Table Below Shows the Number of Visitors in The Uk and Their Average Spending from 2003 to 2008

A piece of information about the number of tourists in the UK in a million and their spending in pound billions, average spend per visit and average nights per visit between 2003 and 2008 was depicted by the table.

Overall, although a large number of visitors in 2007, their spending was maximum in 2008 and average nights per visit were more in 2006.

To begin with, about 24.715 million visitors were found in 2003, and this number steadily increased until 2006 to reach 32.713 million. An approximately similar number of visitors was shown in 2007 (32.778 million). After some decline, 31.88 million travellers were present in 2008. Their spending also showed a gradual increase from 2003 to 2006. In 2003, their spending was 11.885-pound billions and 16.002-pound billions in 2006. On the other hand, 15.960-pound billions and 16.323-pound billions were spent in 2007 and 2008 respectively.

Furthermore, the average spending per visit was 475 pound billions in 2003, and after a few declines, that amount became 466 pound billions in the next year (2004). After 2004, this trend showed a gradually increased in average spending per visit. 471-pound billions were spent in 2005, and 511-pound billions were invested in 2008. Average nights per visit were 8.2 in 2003 and 2004. 8.3 and 8.4 in 2005 and 2006 respectively. The number of average nights went down to reach at 7.7 in 2007 and constant in next year(2008).
