Overall, health and tourism were dominated by women and retail, including manufacturing by men. The percentage of men employed in retail remained stable throughout the three years with 13, whereas, women’s percentage grew 1 percentage each year. Starting with 7 and ending by 9.
In 1990, the health sector began with just 9 percentage but grew exponentially to 11 and 15 in 2000 and 2010, respectively, surpassing men when they began with 7 and ending with 9 in the same years. However, the manufacturing sector was dominated by men in 1990 with 30 per cent. It sharply declined to 15 and 10 for the 2000 and 2010. Women were employed only by 7 and grew by 1 percentage in 2000, but declined to 3 in 2010.
Tourism remained relatively stable for men in 2000 and 2010 at 10 per cent when it was 13 in 1990. Women found tourism interesting by remaining highest employed by 23 and 25 in 1990 and 2000. But reaching 27 per cent in 2010.
