Air traffic is increasingly leading to more noise, pollution, and airport construction. One reason for this is the growth in low-cost passenger flights, often to holiday destinations.
Some people say that the government should try to reduce air traffic by taxing it more heavily.
Do you agree or disagree?
INTRODUCTION
The airline industry has overgrown with several competitors offering air tickets at comparatively lesser rates than others, often leading to more air traffic congestion, pollution, and unbearable noise. While some people support this as a mark of the airline industry’s technological advancements, others indicate this as a serious concern to the air quality – therefore, believe the authorities need to levy considerable taxes to control it at the root level. I strongly agree with the latter and support my view with a detailed explanation and examples.
PARAGRAPH 1
Due to the privatization of airlines across the globe, there is a cut-throat competition among airline companies. Thereby offering the flight tickets at the most affordable rates to the public. However, air traffic levels are increasing rapidly, affecting the atmosphere with uncountable problems. This drastic increase in air pollution is causing a heavy toll on the eco-system involving humans, plants, and birds. As per the recent study by Forbes magazine, the amount of carbon dioxide and poisonous gases emitted due to flights have been increased by 90% every year from 2016.
PARAGRAPH 2
To curb this trend at the root level, firstly, the Governments should restrict the airlines’ privatization and operate all the airlines by themselves. Secondly, the taxes should be levied heavily on domestic airlines to limit the travel. Lastly, citizens must realize the importance of controlling air pollution and creating awareness among themselves to manage things.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the central authorities have to take the air congestion issue seriously, given the harm, it is causing to the world, and take necessary measures to fix the problem.
So this is the end of Writing Task 2. ( Air traffic is increasingly leading to more noise, pollution, and airport construction. One reason for this is the growth in low-cost passenger flights, often to holiday destinations. )
