In the past, lectures were the traditional method of teaching large numbers of students in a classroom. Nowadays new technology is increasingly being used to teach students. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this new approach in teaching?


It is true that technology plays a crucial role in everyone’s life. In the 21st century, technology is affecting many different areas of life, and education is no expectation. Some areas of tradition have been revolutionised by new technology, and tutors are using this technology to teach the learners. This essay will highlight some advantages and a few disadvantages in this notion.

To commence with, multifarious reasons are associated with this notion; due to technology, most teachers use less time for teaching as compared to the traditional method of teaching. For instance, in the past time teachers spent the majority of their time teaching to make notes and writing on blackboards for explaining the concept. Hence, these days due to the advancement of technology, all works are completed in a few seconds as well as this is the easiest way for students. The aforementioned merit is the use of new technology for studies. It saves time. Thus, with the help of technology, teachers can use the presentations and complete their work in seconds.

On the other hand side, there are a few drawbacks. First of all, it reduces the face to face interaction of teachers with learners. Therefore, many teachers are not aware of the utilisation of technology.
