The Answer of Write a letter to your boss apologizing for the recent meeting you missed at work
Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing to present my sincere apologies for not attending the meeting held last Friday, on 3rd October at 2:00 p.m. I am aware that it was an extremely important meeting regarding the new project undertaken by the company. I was ought to present there being a part of the managing team, however, I was not able to make it happen.
Kindly consider my explanation that that day, I was returning to the office after lunch, but my car stopped on the way. I called for a mechanic immediately and he told me that this was a major fault and it will take 2 hours at least. It was not possible for me to leave the car on the road with him, therefore I had no other choice but to stay there. Because of this reason I was not able to reach the office on time and missed the meeting.
I am deeply worried that because of my absence the meeting was not a complete success and did not reach a conclusion. To make up for this, I will get a copy of the highlights of the meeting and will add my views to the already discussed topics, and prepare the concluding draft. In this way, the precious time spent by everyone will be saved.
Hope that you will consider my situation.
Yours sincerely,
