Dear Ravi,
I hope you are feeling better and recovering well with the medication. I thought of sharing the cricket match updates we played last week with you as I certainly know how disappointed you were for missing the match.
It doesn’t feel very comfortable to tell you that the Deloitte team has won the match merely by one run. Our team captain Rahul was helpless as he missed you among the best bowlers in the squad. The game took place in LB stadium, and the weather was cloudy with a slight drizzle during the day.
Given the weather conditions, the pitch seemed favorable to the first bowling team, and unfortunately, we lost the toss and happened to bat first. Although our opening batsmen did a splendid job by scoring 50 runs, our team could not capitalize on the opportunity as the wickets fell rapidly, leaving the team score only 120 for 20 overs.
On the other hand, I felt our bowling attack wasn’t that great with medium pacers and spinners. Luckily, I have taken three crucial wickets in the middle overs; after that, the match became even more enjoyable. Everyone held the nerves until the last ball; eventually, we lost the game by just one run.
I genuinely believe that we played our best and did well in fielding and bowling under pressure and were so close to the win. Anyway, the entire team missed you, and `I wish you to get well soon on behalf of our entire team.
