You recently spent the night at an expensive hotel. There was a problem with your room, but the hotel staff could not do anything about it. Write a letter to the hotel manager. In your letter
- Describe the problem.
- Explain what happened when you asked the hotel staff for help.
- Say what you would like the manager to do.
Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my stay at your Hotel Bay International Inn, during my recent visit to Paris for a business conference.
At the onset, let me explain the problem. I stayed at your establishment for two days from 1st to 5th May 2021, in room 324. Although the hotel’s location was convenient, my stay becomes unpleasant as the air conditioner in my room was not working. It was a hot summer day with a record temperature of 47 degrees Celsius, and it becomes unbearable for me to stay in a non-air conditioned room.
Further, I called the reception and requested them to fix the problem. But no one came to the room for the next four hours, despite many calls. And when the mechanic came, he told me that the issue could not be fixed, as a machine was damaged. When requested by the hotel staff to change my room, I was denied as the hotel was already fully occupied. Thus, I had to spend uncomfortable sleepless nights at your hotel. It wasn’t very reassuring for me given the reputation of your hotel.
Lastly, I would suggest you train your staff to check on the facilities to be provided to their customers before allotting them the rooms so that someone else has not suffered like me. Also because of your poor customer service provided by your hotel, I would like you to refund the money that I paid at the time of booking.
Yours faithfully,
