Many Newspapers and Magazines Feature Stories About the Private Lives of Famous People (1)

Many newspapers and magazines feature stories about the private lives of famous people. We know what they eat, where they buy their clothes, and who they love. We also often see pictures of them in private situations. Is it appropriate for a magazine or newspaper to give this kind of private information about people?

Generally, the majority of people are fond of reading newspapers to know the current happenings around the globe and read magazines to be entertained. Therefore, one would expect to find articles that feature the private lives of famous people in magazines other than newspapers. Nowadays, more and more newspapers include stories like these which are neither informative nor useful.

In my opinion, this type of whisper about people’s private lives should not be published in the diurnal. It ought to be a confidential thing. First of all, the dating rumour of Princess Diana with a prominent sportsman is not relevant in the news.

Secondly, if newspapers want to publish articles about famous people they should concentrate on public events and achievements. In other words, if there is an article about Princess Diana, it should be about her benevolence programs which enhance public awareness of important issues. Additionally, reporters should make sure that they write about facts only, not irrelevant things. Essentially, one should be able to rely on a gazette for factual facts.

On the other hand, magazines should focus on social news, but l feel it is more acceptable for them to include some features about famous personalities. However, it is necessary that magazines stories should not mention things that are too embarrassing or untrue just to attract potential customers.

In Conclusion, Newspapers should focus more on real news while magazines can feature some articles on people’s private lives.
