Question 1. What kind of entertainment do you prefer, TV or radio? (Why?)

Answer – I’m mostly in love with watching television because, for example when l am listening to music ‘coz l am a big fan of music” l don’t just get to hear the lyrics but, l also view the video as well, and at times when l do not know all the words to a song sometimes l get to sing along as they run a subtitle of the lyrics on Tv.

Question 2. How are radio programs and television programs different?

Answer – I think the main difference is that radio content is more of audio, unlike tv content where you get visuals, no wonder why the name ‘television’ is cause it’s something to do with bringing or transmitting vision to people.

Question 3. What programs do you like to watch/listen to?

Answer – I am a fan of reality shows when watching television; l also like to catch up with news, especially the latest.l need to know what is happening where and at what time; l do not want to hear from someone else. Sometimes l do listen to gospel tunes on our local radio as well.

Question 4. When do you watch TV/listen to the radio?

Answer – The first thing l do, is switch on the television; like l said before, l do not want to be about the latest or trending issues from other people, and during lunchtime, as well as l recharge my batteries, l also get to listen to the radio, but mostly l watch Tv after work during prime time.

Question 5. In India, has television/radio changed much in recent years?

Answer – I will talk about my country Zimbabwe, l believe a lot has changed, thanks to the continuous modifications to technology. We now get to see movies in 3D effect in our country. The addition of extra latest editions of films and movies can also be showcased, for example, through Netflix.l I think there is a wide range of content to choose from depending on what everyone likes.

Question 6. How do you think TV/radio broadcasts in India could be improved?

Answer – I believe the government should also pump in a lot of funds when it comes to publishing of tv and radio programs as well as also assisting the entertainment industry causes; l think, lack of funds is the main reason we still lagging, major film Industries, like Hollywood.

Question 7. Do you prefer TV news or news on the radio? (Why?)

Answer – I think it depends on what time of the day and what day of the week it is, though l like listening and also watch at the same time, l wouldn’t mind getting the latest or breaking news from the radio, especially when l am not able to sit and listen.

Question 8. Do you watch programs on the TV or your cell phone?

Answer – Because of the high internet costs in my country mostly, l watch films on Tv, however, some films are not screened on local television or l when am not able to subscribe for such films on Dstv, or when I’m itching to see that film, l got no option but to sacrifice the little data bundle that l have to watch it on my phone.

Question 9. Do you like watching the same kind of programs all the time?

Answer – No, absolutely not, that’s why sometimes l think, am losing interest when it comes to watching shows on DSTV, cause they are always playing repeats for different series or movies. I have literally fallen out of love with the satellite dish.

Question 10. Did you talk with your friends about the program you watched?

Answer – Yes, definitely; l think those are the kind of stories we get to discuss during our tea and lunch break. We get to review what’s happening with the trending celebrities or actors on different shows, mostly the popular soapies. We also get to give each other heads up about what’s about to happen in the country when we talk about the news or trending stories from the radio.
