A Friend Is Considering Buying a House Nearby

A friend is considering buying a house nearby, but you have decided to leave the area due to a rise in crime. Write a letter to your friend advising them not to move into the neighbourhood. In your letter:

  • Recommend that your friend not go ahead with the purchase.
  • Give the reasons behind your decision to leave.
  • Suggest possible alternative areas that you know

Dear Joe,

Hope you are healthy and in high spirits. I got your letter recently and I was really joyful hearing you are shifting to my neighbourhood. But it’s hard to say that this area is not able to maintain its vigilance for the last few years. If you ask for my suggestions I would rather advise you not to buy any property over here and look out for other developed areas of the town.

For the last 4-5 years, the society here is experiencing a high rate of criminal activities like snatching, robbery, smuggling and many other minor as well as major crimes. With ever-growing development and advancement, the locality has been filled with many new faces from different nearby towns and as you know our society is one where all the facilities are available at the doorstep, so many dwellers have been attracted to it, resulting in rising in unlawful activities.

I have planned to shift from here next month and I can surely help you with other sophisticated localities in the town centre. I have bought a house in Ranjit avenue as it is the hub of the city and I can assure you the aligned colonies are even better and much grown.

Hope you would find this useful and change your mind to think once again before shifting here.

Love and regards,
