Dear sir/mam,
I am Shreya Thakkar, PhD student from Bharti vidhyapith. I came to know about the international day celebration at your college. I would like to address students on that day about my country from a different culture. I am writing this letter to ask for your permission regarding the same.
For my PhD, I am doing research on the different cultures of our country. I would like to talk about different festivals like Navratri, Diwali, Pongal, and Karva Chauth. Also, I will talk about different food habits. For example, Gujraties eat more lentils and wheat and flour while Bengalis eat more rice and fish; most Gujaratis are vegetarians, whereas most Punjabis and Bengalis are non-vegetarians. I will prepare an eye-catching PowerPoint presentation such that students find this lecture interesting and their knowledge regarding different cultures increases.
For a PowerPoint presentation, I will require one projector display and a mike. I am waiting for your positive response.
