Art and craft always make a man perfect. I studied in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Public High School, which is in my hometown. I remember one day when our school Organized a competition for students. I also got participation in the competition. The theme was decided by the principal teacher as well as other staff members.
They have given us few activities like rangoli competition, Art and craft competition, and dance competition. So my other mates and I took participated in an art and craft competition. I made the photo of Guru Nanak Dev Ji with the help of some paints and colors. I decorated as well. after some time when the teachers announced the results of the competition.
I got my first medal, and also, they adhered to the wall of my principal’s room, and it is there today itself. Everyone congratulated me for the work which was done by me very nicely. After that, we also did a party. I felt very happy and excited. When I came back to my home, my parents praised me and congratulated me. That was the activity which I had made during my school time.

Answer – Embroidery is very much popular in India today itself. Heavy dupatta with phulkari is also considerable in traditional handicrafts.

Question 3. Do people in your country send handicrafts as gifts?
Answer – yes, I know the time when my grandmother sends the handkerchief for me. It was well designed by my grandmother. She sent me this on a special occasion at my birthday party.
Question 4. What are the benefits of handicrafts?
Answer – As I know, handicraft material is handmade properly, so it is not cheap at all. Handicraft things always tell the creativity of the person.
