The Environmental Problems that Today’s World Is Facing Are so Great

The environmental problems that today’s world is facing are so great that there is little ordinary people can do to improve the situation. So governments and large organizations should be responsible for reducing the amount of damage being done to the environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.

The environmental problem has become a great challenge in this contemporary world, and ordinary citizens can barely do anything to improve this devastating issue. As a result, the states and big organizational bodies should be obliged to help dwindle the negative impact of this issue on our surroundings. Personally, I absolutely agree with this notion because authorities possess the required resources, and large forms can feature ads in their products to help mitigate this problem.

First of all, governmental authorities have the required resources that can be utilized to help tackle this environmental problem. Although ordinary citizens can try their best to help solve the existing surrounding problems, all their efforts are likely to prove futile. Admittedly, leaders have large sums of money that can be used to establish specific agencies and machinery, train workers and prepare them in an attempt to fight these pressing environmental issues such as unpredictable climate changes, flooding, drought and so on that the world is facing today. For instance, state authorities worldwide have invested huge sums of money in devising ways and means to fight the current global warming problem.

Additionally, large companies like Apple, Samsung, and Nokia phones can feature relevant advertisements in their products to create awareness about how inappropriate human activities like indiscriminate dumping of refuse, deforestation, and so on can negatively impact our surrounding bodies. Undoubtedly, these companies are very renowned and can easily affect massive changes in our society. To buttress this point, recent research by a University shows that large firms have about 63.7% influence on the general public and, as such, can easily affect change.

In conclusion, I reiterate my opinion that resorting to the state leaders and big individuals will help solve this worrisome environmental problem and prevent any future challenges that are likely to pop up. I, therefore, suggest that companies should help in the fight to protect our surroundings.
