You Are in a High-Rise Building, Which Has a Communal Laundry Room

You are in a high-rise building, which has a communal laundry room. Sometimes people don’t come in time to empty the machines and other residents have to wait for a washer or driver. You think the building management should purchase 10 extra laundry baskets and make them available for such times, so the machines can be freed up.

Write to the Property Manager, Mr Watson. In your letter:

Explain how long you been a resident
Describe the problem
Propose your solution

Dear Mr Watson,

I am writing this letter to draw your kind attention to a critical issue with regard to laundromats in our society. I hope you will be considerate and take the necessary actions if possible.

Let me elaborate on the situation so that you can get a fair bit of understanding. I have been staying in this skyscraper for the last 5 years and, indeed, it has been a delightful experience till now; however, due to the increased number of residents, laundry room machines are always full. It is unfortunate that many members forget to take their washed clothes out of the washing machine or dryer. As a result, the waiting individual has to empty the machine on behalf of those irresponsible mates. Besides this, the worst part is, buckets in which the clothes are being emptied are very little in the quantity, increasing the waiting period massively.

As a property manager, it would be great if you could please buy 10 more laundry buckets to mitigate this crucial issue. Please let me know if you need any assistance from my side.

I look forward to your optimistic approach.

Yours sincerely,
